The NXNE Lowdown

Hey all,
We are doing so much NXNE stuff this year, I thought I’d summarize it all in one nifty blog post. Here goes:

It all started about a week ago when Exclaim.ca started exclusively streaming our new single, There Are Wolves here:

http://exclaim.ca/MusicVideo/ClickHear/papermaps-there_are_wolves
(Recommended listening while reading the rest of this blog post)

Then we got booked to do  a bunch of NXNE Muisc Fest live appearances.  You have 4 chances to check out some live Papermaps this week:

Thursday Night 11PM @ Rancho Relaxo (300 College St.):
This is our BIG showcase.  We’ll be playing all the songs from our upcoming EP, including a song we have never played live before!
FB Event: http://www.facebook.com/events/305476826205306/

Friday Afternoon 2PM @ Toronto Coffee Company (685 Lansdowne Ave)
Dean will be showing up with his acoustic guitar (or maybe an electric guitar and a small amp) to do a solo performance of new and old Papermaps songs.

Friday Night 8PM @ Football Factory (164 Bathurst Street)
The NXNE SonaBLAST patio party! This will be our first open air appearance! Please crash this party! Dean and Co. have a bunch of passes that clearly say “FREE BEER” on them – find us!

Sunday Afternoon 7PM @ Of a Kind Vintage & Vinyl (1037 College St. W)
This is our first ever in-store appearance! This show is all ages and FREE! We are on at 7pm, but there are a bunch of cool bands playing all day.  Come to think of it, this is our first all-ages event too – this is a week of firsts!

That’s all (for now) folks!
